Jlamprang Batik: Pekalongan Cultural Identity from Natural Resources in the Environment

Pekalongan is one of the cities in Java Island that famous batik as it has been established Batik City by local government on its 105’s anniversary 2011. As a creative art creating fabric, cloth, and clothing; continuously preserved city cultural identity since Creative UNESCO 2014. Jlamprang five original motives from took name plant called tree which was previously found abundantly city. The natural colourings were used to colour also obtained surrounding city’s environment, including particular blue indigo taken tree. This research exposes history motive, utilization, meaning, benefit for people. data collected applying literature review observation use, interviews with people who understand well about usage. result shows know motive use wisely their benefit, like producing wearing using handicraft decoration.
